methods of treatment have been slow to produce the desired results.
However, it is not a substitute for seeing your own GP who knows
your medical history. |

Normally the mum-to-be needs four sessions.
The first is to find out how the pregnancy is developing, and how
hypnosis can fulfil needs and expectations surrounding the birth
This session enables the mum-to-be to have the opportunity to get
to know the therapist and receive an introduction to self hypnosis.
The second session can also include the birthing partner to discuss
both of their needs during labour. Also, it provides an opportunity
to experience the benefits of relaxing hypnosis whilst gaining insight
into the birthing process and bonding with the baby.
In the third session mum-to-be is taught how to deal with phobias
and management of discomfort.
The fourth session includes pre-childbirth and introduction to
techniques to enhance the birthing process.
Mum-to-be is provided with a one hour childbirth recording, and
a subliminal music recording.
